Frequently Asked Questions – Massage Therapy in Brentwood, TN

Welcome to Paula’s Massage Magic! Below are the most commonly asked questions from our Brentwood community. Whether you're new to massage or a regular guest, these answers can help you make the most of your session.

1. How often should I receive a massage?
It depends on your goals. For general wellness, a monthly massage is ideal for maintenance. If you're dealing with chronic pain, chronic stress, or recovering from injury, surgeries, weekly or bi-weekly sessions may provide better results. I have membership pricing to help buy one on automatic monthly, add additional sessions as you need at reduced price. They roll over if not used, and do not expire.

2. How much does a massage cost in Brentwood, TN?
My prices typically range from $115/60 to $160/90 depending on the type and duration of the session. Specialty treatments like deep tissue or prenatal massage may have a higher rate, but not at my place. Ask me about my membership plan pricing for regular clients!

3. What types of massage do you offer?
We provide a range of modalities including Swedish, Deep tissue with special Myo-Zen techniques, sports massage, prenatal, postnatal, hot stone, cupping therapy (MediCupping), reflexology, and Reiki and more.

4. What should I ask when selecting a massage therapist?
Ask about licensure, experience, specialty training, and what modalities they’re most comfortable with. It’s important to find a therapist whose style aligns with your needs.

5. What is the difference between an Elite Therapist and a Master Therapist?
Some franchises categorize therapists by training and experience. An Elite Therapist typically has advanced certification and a strong track record. A Master Therapist often brings years of expertise and additional modalities to the table. Every therapist no matter where they work in TN are required to do 24 hours of (CEs) Continuous Education of their choice, every 2 years. I am from New York and we had 36CE every three years and over 10 years experience.

6. Are children allowed at massage appointments?
For the comfort and safety of all guests, we kindly ask that children not accompany clients to their sessions unless they are receiving a massage themselves (with parental consent and supervision).

7. What should I expect during my first session?
You’ll begin with a brief consultation to discuss your needs, any medical conditions, and pressure preferences. You’ll be draped for privacy throughout the session, and your therapist will check in with you to ensure comfort. Ask questions and if you don't like a lot of talk, I understand, your are there to relax.

8. Is massage safe if I’m pregnant or have a medical condition?
Yes, with proper precautions. I am experienced and offer  prenatal and postnatal massage. Always inform your therapist about medical conditions, allergies, or medications prior to treatment.

9. Can massage help with pain or chronic issues?
Absolutely. My specialty, Massage is highly effective for reducing pain, improving mobility, and managing conditions like sciatica, tension headaches, back pain, or repetitive strain injuries. Cupping and deep tissue techniques can also aid recovery.

10. Do I need to tip my massage therapist?
Tipping is always Appreciated, but never required. A customary tip ranges from 15% to 25% of the session cost. If you’re unsure, just ask—I am happy to guide you.
